The latest IBM laptops use the one-key recovery feature, and have a hidden partition. When replacing the hard drive, the cloned hard drive cannot boot. How can I make the cloned drive bootable and also have the one-key recovery feature? Please advise, experts. (These are generally XP systems.) If possible, email me at tryagaincrt@vip.sina.com
Many, many thanks!

On the original hard drive, use pqmagic to unhide the hidden partition. After re-entering the system, you will be able to see the contents of that partition. Burn the contents of that partition to a CD, and use that recovery software to restore it to the new hard drive, then it will boot. If you want to keep the recovery function on the new hard drive, you can create a recovery partition on the new hard drive, or clone the entire hard drive using disk to disk, and then that function can be retained.
