An old hard drive of about 3GB, with a SCSI interface. At startup, the hard drive can be found in the BIOS, but after POST it says
No Boot Sector Found. After booting with a boot disk, fdisk says No fixed disks present. |

FDISK is very limited in what it can do. I suggest using DM for low-level formatting and partitioning. If you're worried about English, you can also try DISKGEN. There's also a bad hard disk partitioner, FBDISK, that you can try. If neither DISKGEN nor DM can partition it, then it's basically hopeless.

But when I use DISKMAN, it says the hard drive is not installed.

Mys was suggesting you use DM, not DiskMan! Also, I think when doing partitioning and other operations on a SCSI hard drive under DOS, it's best to use the original Win98 boot disk, not a modified one. The 98 boot disk has support programs for SCSI hard drives.
