I don't think it's a very good idea... it doesn't seem to have much to do with the China DOS Union. Roy might as well make an anime website himself, and we'll all go support you!

I've thought about this too. I also wanted to make some kind of "New DOS Entertainment Network" site for the China DOS Union. That way, on one hand, it could help promote multimedia and online audio/video technology under DOS; on the other hand, it could also give everyone a place to relax, after long periods of work and fatigue, in our own "New DOS Entertainment Network." Since it would kill two birds with one stone, why not do it!

What Roy and I have in mind is to first open an anime section to build up popularity, experience, and materials, and then go together and set up a separate anime forum. What does everyone think?

Mm... not a bad idea... but there are already quite a lot of sections in the current forum. Would adding this one make things a bit too cluttered? I think it would be better to first reorganize the forum's existing sections, and then open this section.

Could we turn the current "Literature & Entertainment / Works Sharing" section into an anime section? If necessary, it could even be put somewhere prominent. What do you think?

Starting with an anime section first wouldn't be bad. That way we can first test how much interest there is. I think there are definitely more people who like anime than people who like DOS, so that would also help promote the prestige of the China DOS Union. But I think that making an anime section in the current forum can only serve as a test; it still has many shortcomings, such as posts being mixed together in a messy way, incomplete subforum categories, and so on. I suggest the anime forum be divided into sections like romance, comedy, action, sci-fi, horror, games, MTV, etc.

At present, the idea is that this server isn't very suitable for use as an anime forum. Most things would have to be linked externally: I once tried using it for MP3 and software downloads, and just putting up one Windows XP download server made it crash -- the bandwidth is very small, while an anime forum would need relatively large bandwidth, and I don't have money on hand for now... PS: Why hasn't this forum been upgraded yet? The vulnerabilities in 5.0 are getting more and more numerous
