One of my laptops has a broken built-in optical drive, so I bought a "Lite-On" USB external optical drive (24X, with DVD and CD burning). When booting with the MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk, it hangs while loading the USB driver. (Sometimes it hangs at the startup screen.)
Laptop specs (P3/192RAM/IBM20G hard disk/system PWINXP)
