Today I did an experiment, and it ended up destroying the whole operating system:
It's a long story: I'm using WinME. If you ask why I use such an obscure system, it's stronger than 98 and uses fewer resources than 2k. After using it this long, because I often install and delete software, the registry has already become big-bellied, bloated and burdensome. By accident I discovered a registry file in c:/windows/sysbckup called rbbad.cab, different from the other 5 backups. Its creation date exactly matches the date WinME was installed. I guessed this must be WinME's most original, cleanest registry, so I figured I might as well import it and try it, and the result, alas. Rebooted and entered `win. I was stunned at first sight. I'd never seen it before. It was WinME in some other kind of script. I couldn't tell what language it was, Greek, Malaysian, Korean.... some kind of writing anyway, in short, a foreign language I couldn't understand........ What exactly is rbbad.cab? How can I restore the original registry now (WinME has no DOS at startup. I'm doomed) |

No DOS at boot, and you can't think of finding a boot disk?!
