China DOS Union

I downloaded ntfsdos.zip before, the 36K one. It can detect it, but it can't read the files inside the partition.
I don't know what other programs besides this one can read NTFS, and it needs to fit on a single floppy disk for boot use.

The reason for using this software is this.
A friend overseas had a machine with the English version of Windows XP installed originally. Because his English isn't very good, he changed it to the Chinese version, but the partitioning wasn't ideal, so I repartitioned it for him (remotely).
After repartitioning, I discovered that his drive letters had changed. Very depressing.
Now the system can't boot normally, though fortunately there is a backup of the Windows XP installer saved on the original hard disk. But because the partition format is NTFS, it can't be accessed.
So this is giving me a headache.

PS. He doesn't have a related bootable installation CD on hand (it's gone).

Does anyone have any good solution?
Right now he only has a floppy disk he can use.
