Was the boot disk burned from the ISO provided here finalized? I heard that some CD-ROM drives can't read discs that weren't finalized. Is that true?

One more related question: when using burning software to make a bootable CD, it asks you to put a boot disk in the floppy drive, but I don't have a floppy drive. Is there some kind of virtual floppy drive software that can handle this? Can the subst command do it?

You can directly use an IMG file to burn a boot disk.

http://www.nu2.nu has a tool called BIF.EXE that can create floppy disk image files under WINDOWS. You can use it to make an IMG file.

If you're using nero, when you make a bootable CD, a "Boot drive" option will appear. The default is drive A, and below that is "Image file"～～～～～
