Question:
Recently the “QQ Tail” virus spreading online through QQ has been very rampant. When someone infected with this virus sends messages to their friends,
it automatically appends a malicious URL. As soon as the other party clicks this URL, they will also be infected with the same virus, which then causes
a vicious cycle, especially in Internet cafes. In order to reduce the chance of getting infected by this virus, I came up with a method: make QQ
separate from the browser. That is, when a user clicks a URL in QQ chat content, disable QQ’s function of opening the browser. From a certain point
of view, that would also reduce the chance of getting infected by this virus, but the problem is that I don’t know how to modify the
registry so that Tencent QQ cannot open the browser. Does anyone know?

Answer:
First copy the QQ directory and put it somewhere else, then run the QQ uninstaller. After that, just run QQ from the copied one. Also remember to delete Tencent’s browser.
