Editing autoexec.bat is useless. Automatically running an .exe file on the CD has to do with the config.sys file.

First copy a findcd.exe to your disk
then add this to autoexec.bat
findcd
%CDROM%\filename.exe
and that's it
then add this to autoexec.bat
findcd
