I have WinNT4.01 installed on my machine,
and now when it boots it shows the following:
Disk I/0 error : stratus =00001000
winnt cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupted,
<\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
How can I fix it?????

An I/O error! No way around it, it's very hard to fix. Reinstall over it once, the other programs can still be used.

How do I use NDD if the machine won't boot? I've had this problem before too. Can NDD run under DOS? Thanks!

Boot with a boot disk!
A CD or floppy will do. There is a DOS version of NDD.
