I hope you can link a few good foreign QB forums. Right now some people overseas have started using QB45+ALLEGRO
to develop games, and ALLEGRO now supports UTF-8 too,

In compliance with a court order, Microsoft handed over more than 200 million lines of WinXP source code. This was jointly requested by the litigation group from nine states and the District of Columbia so they could analyze whether the IE browser could be separated from the Windows operating system! Unexpectedly, the technical experts examining the source code were astonished to discover that Windows was actually written in Basic (a symbolic programming language for beginners to learn).
