My D: drive was originally in NTFS format. Later, “following someone else's orders,” I used PQ Magic to change it to FAT32. What a disaster—every file with a Chinese name became unusable, I can't even delete them. scandisk can't find any problem either. All the filenames show up as ???.*. Among them is some very important personal data of mine. I wonder if any expert can give me some pointers on how to recover these files. I'm really anxious!

I feel for you...
I've had this painful experience too.
Luckily... there wasn't anything especially important.
In the end I could only restore it from the old Ghost backup...

Found a way, just use Win98's scandisk, it works wonders
