My system has both win2000 and winxp installed. winxp was activated with a keygen! I want to back it up with Norton Ghost. The fatal problem is that all partitions on my hard disk have already been formatted as NTFS, so an ordinary boot disk won't work!
So I downloaded a super boot disk from another site, then used hdcopy to make a boot disk, "Super Universal MS-DOS Boot Disk V7.10 Build 2003.05.16". According to the instructions, I tried the third and fourth boot options, but neither would boot! The error for option 3 was that the memory was too large; the error for option 4 was that the HIMEN file was not found!
So, through that readme file, I came to this forum!

What amazed me is that at a time when Windows is sweeping the world, you can still stick to your own path and run this forum, and it's even so active. That is really rare and valuable! I want to express my respect!! And you're still so young, hehe!!! Impressive!

Why not apply to Microsoft??

Since that didn't work, according to one of your web pages you had already updated the Super Boot Disk to September 30, but I can't find the download link. I've been looking for almost an hour!!

Can you help??
Thanks, moderator. Looking at your replies to so many posts, I can tell you really do put a lot of care and effort into this!!

Can you tell me the download link for the Super Boot Disk that supports NTFS?

First of all, thank you for your support for the DOS forum.

You should be able to find some download links for the new versions of "MS-DOS 7.10 Super Boot Disk" and "MS-DOS 7.10 full installation edition" here:

How embarrassing!! I had actually opened that page of yours. My English is passable, but when I saw MICROSOFT I didn't look carefully, and thought it was Microsoft's!!

Thanks to the moderator for still being online so late!! At first I used hdcopy under win2000 to make the boot disk. This time I'll try making one with winimage and see if that works!!
I'll take a good look around this forum and do my best to contribute a little to its prosperity
I sincerely admire you! Truly from the bottom of my heart

I remade the latest Super Boot Disk under win2000 with winimage6.0, but using option 4 to boot still doesn't work!
It says "
Found 845E motherboard 80G hard disk

Then the error message is:
ROM:C000H-CBBFH
EMS: NOT FOUND
RAM:CC00H-DFFFH E400H-E7FFH

What is the reason???
Thanks

Just as stated in the README instructions, item 3 and item 4 are intentionally set according to differences in some specific computer configurations, in order to be compatible with more systems. If item 4 doesn't work, then just choose item 3 to boot, because their purpose is the same. Although all the options can be used on my own computer, don't mistakenly think that all options can be used on all other systems (especially on 845 motherboards, whose poor compatibility has long been generally acknowledged by us). That is simply impossible!

Option 3 doesn't work either. It says USB loaded, but hard disks c and d were not installed

Does that mean I have no other way
Thank you

Then that is a compatibility problem with the USB driver programs DUSE and USBASPI themselves. Hopefully the companies that released these driver programs will later release more powerful versions with better compatibility.
