Question: how can I save the screen contents to a text file under pure DOS. (Not the output shown by dir; I seem to remember it was something like type... but I tried several times and failed. Please, experts, point me in the right direction.
Thanks again!

What I mean is how to save the screen contents to a text file under pure DOS. For example, how can I save some of the prompt information shown when the system loads drivers at startup into a text file?
(Not the output shown by dir; I seem to remember it used the type command... but I tried several times and failed. Please, experts, point me in the right direction.
