My old sound card, the Yamaha 719, uses the compatible Crystal driver under win98. Installing it under 98 is very troublesome, because in 98's Device Manager it shows up as "Unknown Device", so I always install Crystal's 4 sound drivers one by one over and over, trying them in turn until I get sound; but in xp the name of this device is there, so I just install the matching Crystal driver name and that's it.
Under DOS, I really don't know how to make it produce sound. I tried extracting the sound card driver from 98 and loading it in DOS, but it failed; please help me... "Without sound, even the best show can't be performed"! :) Thanks

Many thanks, moderator! I've downloaded this software many times ever since I first started using computers, and installed it under win countless times, but the little speaker icon never appeared, so I gave up. Now it's solved---after all that trouble, so this is what it was under DOS... Thanks...!

Another question: when playing with QV it goes full screen; how can I do other operations and study at the same time like before? Thanks again!...

If you want to study while listening to MP3s, then other than SetEdit, Seal, or some other DOS GUI, use REAL/32 DOS. This is a true multi-user, multitasking DOS system.

Admin: I'm mainly learning the command line, as long as I can type commands that's fine...

I couldn't find the "REAL/32 DOS" you mentioned on ftp, and it didn't exist in the DOS era either...
Open CubicPlayer seems to support more formats than QV...
