Hello, I'm completely new to MS-DOS 7.10. I just was curious how it would work in a virtual machine like virtualbox from oracle. I'm from Germany, and I don't speak chinese mandarin or such chinese languages. I just use google translate to join this community. I hope the translation achieves to be comprehensible.
I installed MS-Dos 7.10 successfully into virtualbox, and it starts and automatically vc.com volkov commander appears. So everything is fine, but when I try to stop volkov commander by typing F10, then the system stops and crashes. Also I thought, it might have something to do with long filenames LFN and lock c: or unlock C:. But that seems not to be the case. Also F4 doesn't work to edit any file, because it doesn't find the file, even it is selected before hand. I don't know what's happening. Once I had similar issues with edit.com, but then a message regarding locked drive c: appears and when I tried to unlock drive c: it never happened again. I hope everything is comprehensible and well translated. fidoo

I hope everything is understandable and the translation is good. fidoo
