I got an I/O error on drive C:, and now Win98 won't start (WinNT boot loader).
What's going on?? I heard repartitioning is the only thing that works. Or reinstall 98. If I reinstall 98, then my WIN2000/XP/SERVER20003 all won't be able to start. This I/O error has been showing up specifically these past two months. And it always happens when installing DOS-based systems. |

Defragment the disk where io.sys is located
If that doesn't work, reinstall it (after installing, use the XP installation CD to restore BOOTSECT) |
