Whether it's DOS 5.0, 6.x, or 7.1, it's the same. Just add HIMEM.SYS in CONFIG. Although no error is displayed, the Chinese characters are garbled after loading the UCDOS font library. Only when HIMEM is not loaded are the characters not garbled, but then there's not enough memory to load WPS. I tried QEMM386 too, but it doesn't work. Could it be that the 7th generation Core platform is incompatible with the memory management specification of HIMEM? Is there any alternative driver? I originally wanted to replace the Chinese character system with XSDOS, which doesn't need HIMEM and is sufficient, but when it comes to displaying and outputting Chinese characters under XSDOS, only the left half of the screen is supported. If I use the MODE command, it can become full screen, but then Chinese character display is not supported.

HIMEM.SYS has long been reported to not fit "modern" hardware very well. You can replace it with XMGR.SYS and HIMEMX.EXE. However, I'm not sure if the problem of your UCDOS loading Chinese characters is directly related to HIMEM.SYS. Maybe some parameters can be changed to solve it, and it's also possible that you may still get screen garbling even if you use XMGR.SYS or HIMEMX.EXE.
