I heard from a friend that the ATA/100 CABLE connected to the HDD DISK can only be used for HARD DISK, and can't have CD-ROM, ZIP DRIVE, etc. connected on it at the same time. Otherwise, it will slow down your HARD DISK read speed.

Is this true?
