Question about using GHOST under DOS for network backup!
I have an IBM T20 laptop. Yesterday I just bought an ITCOM PCMCIA laptop network card, with an RT8319 chip. I followed the method for doing network GHOST on a desktop machine (the desktop can do network GHOST normally):
1. Use GHOST2003 Enterprise Edition to make an MS-DOS network boot disk, with the RT8319 driver included (but it does not support a PCMCIA network card).
2. Since the RT8319 driver included on the boot disk made by GHOST2003 cannot properly drive the PCMCIA network card, I modified CONFIG.SYS myself and added DEVICE=\net\RTPCI.exe on the third line (the vendor-supplied RT8139 driver)
3. Save it and reboot into DOS.
Then the problem comes up. On the screen I can see PCMICA NET CARD DEVICE FOUND and some IRQ interrupt messages and such, which shows that the network card driver has already loaded correctly. But when loading NETBIND.COM, an error appears: ERROR 33 UNENABLE BIND. How can this be solved??? Is GHOST not very good at supporting PCMCIA network cards, or did I install it wrong?
