Both CD-ROM.EXE and CD-ROM.COM are PKLITE'd files
After unpacking them, I found that CD-ROM.COM has the following lines (opened with Notepad)
Please wait while the program is executing , only a moment ...
CD-ROM CD-ROM.SYS /D:IDECDROM
1 MSCDEX /D:IDECDROM /M:30 /E
1
Then I looked at CD-ROM.EXE. I seemed to see some MFC? No, not right, then I looked at the end:
Central Point Anti-Virus (c) 1993 CPS
So that's it, this file also has a CPAV encryption shell, so I used x-tract to strip it off...
Then I saw It may be dangerous to continue running this session.
So this is just a DEVLOAD for CD-ROM.SYS...
Who designed such a stupid program?
Somehow somewhere I've got to choose.
No matter if it is win or lose.
