Most general DOS commands have parameters Q or U. For example, for TW.exe, if you want to exit, you use the command TW /Q. In this way, TW can be exited from conventional memory.

After booting, when running the WIN98 installation program, it will prompt that there is insufficient conventional memory. I think this is a shortcoming of the Wuyou Boot.

The method to solve the problem of insufficient memory after startup is only to use the uninstall function of the loaded program itself to release memory.
The most fundamental solution is to improve the boot disk, using tools that occupy less memory, such as using VIDE - CDD.SYS to drive the CD - ROM, using CTMOUSE to drive the mouse, using SHCDEX of FREEDOS instead of MSCDEX, etc. On the other hand, EMM386.EXE can be added to drive the upper memory area UMB, and the drivers and memory - resident programs can be placed in UMB as much as possible. By combining the above two methods, the remaining conventional memory of DOS can reach more than 600K, and you can install anything. |

I used Umbpci.sys but the upper memory is only 81k. What's the matter?
