The PQDI backup/restore tool has a compression ratio twice as high as GHOST. I currently have two DOS boot disks for this software; after running the first one, it prompts me to insert the second floppy. I want to use NERO's bootable disc method to burn them onto a CD, but the problem is I don't know how to burn in the contents of the second floppy so it can run. Asking the experts for advice.

No need to make it so troublesome, just use the software on the second disk directly. The first one is for booting the computer, the second one is the pqdi software.

If I burn the contents of the second floppy directly onto the CD, after booting there is only one virtual A: drive, and PQDI cannot be found. Loading the CD driver at boot might be one way, but I'd prefer to go directly into the PQDI program. Do the following two files need to be modified? How should they be changed? Please.

《AUTOEXEC。BAT》

@ECHO OFF
PROMPT $P$G

REM -------------------------------------------------------
REM -- Put keyboard codes (xx) and --
REM -- code page variables (yyy) here. --
REM -------------------------------------------------------

REM MODE CON CP PREP=((yyy) EGA.CPI)
REM MODE CON CP SEL=yyy
REM KEYB xx,yyy

REM MSCDEX.EXE /D:driver_name

REM Caldera DOS:

ECHO.
PAUSE >NUL

It seems there is a software tool that can combine this kind of floppy disks together. It's called BCDW.
Not sure if I remembered correctly.

The moderator remembered right, there is a BCDW. I'll download it and take a look, thanks.

You can use software that loads img files into memory as a virtual A: drive to do it, such as ldx, fake, etc.
I rather like ldx; it can continuously call countless A: drive img files, just like really changing floppies,
it's in the DOS tools at http://zql3322.3322.net
