First of all, I do agree that the Super Universal MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk is quite good, but I don't know whether anyone has used it to boot and then install Windows xp? After I boot with it, the installation feels very abnormal! Slow, extremely slow! I remember someone said before that installing Windows2000 was slow, and now I've experienced it too. If you don't believe it, try it yourselves. It's as slow as if SMARTDRV wasn't loaded at all. I've tried it several times and it's always the same! I hope this problem can be improved.

You mean the disk cache wasn't loaded, right? This is not a BUG at all, it's just that it wasn't used correctly. When this Super MS-DOS 7.10 boots, it prompts whether to load PC-CACHE or SMARTDRV or load neither. Just choose the SMARTDRV option and it will automatically load SMARTDRV to support CD-ROM caching!!

How about this: try adding a /B option after the MSCDEX command in AUTOEXEC.BAT..
