I used NERO 6.0 to make a bootable CD, with a Win98 boot disk inserted in the floppy drive, but during burning it always prompts that the cache failed. Does anyone know what causes this?

It seems I’ve never seen this prompt when using NERO to burn discs...
I suggest you close all unrelated programs while burning, leave enough space on the hard disk (the buffer space on drive C should be large), and in NERO there is an item for device cache, I think it was originally 64K, I usually change it to 256K. Also, make sure the floppy disk itself has no problems.

Could it be because reading the floppy disk is too slow, causing the buffer to run out of data?

Probably not... I’ve also burned from a floppy five or six times. Never noticed any problem.
