NTFSDOS.EXE can set cache!
It has nothing to do with virtual memory!

Use the MS-DOS 8.0 version
Load it first at startup
NTFS system recognition
That way it will recognize the hard disk
Then set virtual memory
The drive letter comes right after the hard disk
Then load the CD-ROM
Finally go directly into the CD-ROM

Your Autoexec.bat is too long, isn't it? Why use Win98's Setramd? In Wengier's boot disk there are two very handy things, FindRamd and FindCD. This way, for Step-by-step booting you won't need to press so many Enters.
Somehow somewhere I've got to choose.
No matter if it is win or lose.
