I've run into a problem recently while setting up a network: how do I load the 8139 NIC driver in a DOS boot disk!!!

Install NORTON GHOST2003. It has a tool for making DOS networking. Choose the 8139 as the NIC, and after it's made, go take a look at how its automatic batch file and CONFIG are set up.
