As the title says, how can I get pure DOS back under WIN2K/XP (like under WIN98, not a dual-boot system)? I saw an article about this before, but I didn't pay attention to it at the time. Now I need it, but I can't find it.
Could some expert please help answer this? |

Change %SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe
to %SystemRoot%\system32\command.com and that's it |

Works very well under nt, 2k, xp
With 2003 there are quite a few problems, and I still haven't found a good solution. |

If your C drive has a file like boot.dos (the original hard disk DOS boot sector startup file), and at the same time has these three files: msdos.sys, io.sys, command.com, then you can get it to boot into pure DOS by modifying the boot.ini file
