How do I add floppy boot and CD-ROM boot to the 2000 boot menu?
1. To add “floppy boot,” do I only need to put the floppy’s boot sector bootflp.dat into c:\? I found that the boot sector contents of different boot floppies are not the same! Some can boot successfully, but using the same bootflp.dat to boot other floppies fails. How can I make a universal bootflp.dat?
2. The CD-ROM boot issue. In “http://www.ipdown.com/dosbbs/dispbbs.asp?BoardID=11&ID=2218&replyID=13796&skin=1” you said to modify “bytes 13 to 59 of BOOTCD.DAT” to the corresponding hard disk information. Is 13 to 59 in hex? But whether I modify it in decimal or hexadecimal, I still can’t get it to work. Is there anything else I need to pay attention to?

As for making the floppy boot function that way, that method isn’t very practical. The best solution is to make a boot sector file specifically for calling the floppy. For example, that FDBOOT.BS.

That file is in both types of DOS boot CDs I made (one is the “boot disk with many systems” mentioned above, and the other is the “MS-DOS 7.10 CD ISO installation edition”).

Found it, it’s the boota.bin file.
But CD-ROM boot still didn’t work. About that bytes 13 to 59 issue, can you explain it more clearly? I believe your bootcd.dat is universal too. Upload one.
