One hard disk was split into two partitions, C: and D:. After repairing with Efficiency Source, D: is missing! C: can still be read and written normally. Using PQ, D: now shows up as free space. What can be done to recover the lost D:? (No partition table backup)
Also, if the hard disk is repartitioned, is there any way to restore it to the original partition layout?

If you repartition it, even the data on drive C: will be lost too. Better use DISKGEN instead; it has a function for rewriting the partition table. I once tried it on a hard disk that PQ already showed as completely hopeless, and DISKGEN actually restored all 4 of its partitions perfectly. My friend was so happy he jumped up!

These programs each have their own strengths, I guess. PQ, DiskGen, Efficiency Source, and so on all seem to have cases where they are not suitable...
It would be nice if there were one that was "general-purpose" and "universal".

What is the principle behind DISKGEN's partition table rewrite?
It isn't just a feature where it remembers the partition information from the last time the hard disk was opened, is it?
