As everyone knows, after an application is developed, it needs to go through a period of testing to verify the reliability of its operation, and for that a testing platform is needed, that is, an operating system. This operating system must be a “clean” operating system, meaning that no other applications are installed on it, just a pure system platform. Only in this way can you really test how reliable a piece of software is on an unfamiliar computer.

My question is this: I only have one computer here, and I still need to use it every day for programming, going online, and other work, so it is impossible for me to find another test machine with no applications installed at all. So I’m wondering whether I can install another Win98 SE on my C: drive, so that I would have a dual-boot system and use that as the testing platform, with no applications installed on it. I don’t know whether this can be done.

I hope all you experts can give me an answer, thanks!
