A ten-year-old man is like lemon tea: human nature just beginning to show, with a faintly green, mellow taste, leaving a sweet aftertaste.
A twenty-year-old man is like Yuhua tea: first awakening to feelings, true and pure, fresh and cool in flavor with a delicate fragrance.

A thirty-year-old man is like Biluochun tea; gaining life experience is a process of removing the coarse and keeping the refined,
casting off restlessness while preserving the fragrance, and thus acquiring a uniquely beautiful style.

A forty-year-old man is like West Lake Longjing tea: perfection shown through simplicity, nobility shown through maturity.
And yet that nobility is so approachable.

A fifty-year-old man is like oolong tea: after being tempered by the years, he begins to temper the years in return.
After countless things have passed, there is no need to reveal too much; true feeling naturally pours forth.
A sixty-year-old man is like Keemun black tea, harmonized by nature, gathering the essence of sun and moon, rich in flavor.

A seventy-year-old man is like silver needle white tea: there is no need to see the whole person anymore; from just a few traces,
one can sketch all his grace and splendor—his humanity already drifting beyond his outward form.

After seventy, a man gathers into one all the sweetness and fragrance of many teas, having lived through every kind of temperament and feeling, enough to inspire wonder.

Men are like tea, while women are more like coffee. A superb drink of life, gathering many flavors into one.
Good coffee is not something whose taste can be known in a single try. Once you understand it, it becomes a feeling
that can still be hard to forget many years later.

A man is a kind of tea, a drink mixed with many kinds of deep feeling and light sentiment.
He is not prepared only for women, but even more for himself.

Don't think that just because both are drinks, the two can communicate and blend with each other;
and don't think that just because both are people, men and women can understand and tolerate each other.
Life is just like this: they seem very similar, but often they are two entirely different things.
What they share is the ability to keep surging up with rich, delicate, lasting passion,
and to linger on the lips and the tip of the tongue. It tastes intensely bitter, yet when remembered it carries a faint fragrance.

Originally they are two extremes, yet so alike.
Because between them there is the best mediator of all—and that is water.
Without it, tea is still tea and coffee is still coffee, but they have no life.
Only water lets them flow, gives them life, gives them feeling, gives them taste.

I do not wish to be coffee; I only wish to be water that blends together with tea.
So that you may always feel my faint thoughts and lingering affection.
For tea, ten parts depend on water: with eight parts tea to ten parts water,
the flavor is complete; with ten parts tea to eight parts water,
the flavor is only eight parts. Only when matched well will the fragrance rise to the nose and bring sweetness to the mouth.
A man like tea lets memories settle into his heart again and again;
he cherishes his own choice and reads tea in his own way.
And that clear green tea water—had long since become a painting outlined in his heart.

The meaning of a woman like water belongs to the one who understands her,
cherishes her,
cares for her — and that would be a man like tea.

“This cup of tea, I will keep drinking it...” Tea's clear, rich fragrance can only be known when felt with the heart.

But I have also seen an old essay saying women are like tea. Still, I think women being like wine is more fitting. It's a pity I don't understand either very well, otherwise I'd surely drink a few cups and dash off a piece called "Women Are Like Wine."

Actually, both tea and wine are indispensable parts of my daily life, especially tea, always with me like a shadow.
