I'm a newbie. After upgrading DOS to 7.10,

when booting up it goes straight to DOS instead,

not to Windows like before.

I still have to switch over, what a hassle. I don't know why.

Please give me a solution. If it's this troublesome, I might as well not upgrade.

I also don't know how to uninstall DOS, or how to restore it.

Please explain in detail.

Windows is a GUI program under DOS, so if you type WIN directly at DOS, it will enter Windows.

What does ICQ have to do with it? I know to type win.

What a hassle. Isn't there any specific solution?

Mine is 98 first edition, and the machine is from 1998, a bit old, and it's still a commercial machine.

Then how do I restore it to the original version?

I hate switching at startup.

Before, it went directly into Windows. Why doesn't it work after changing to this?

What's the difference? Under DOS, can it be set to enter Windows at startup?
