I bought a Ver1.1 USB hard drive enclosure, installed my existing desktop hard drive into it, and it became a portable hard drive. It works normally under Windows98/2000, and works quite well too. But—

I downloaded DUSE, this driver program for driving USB storage devices under DOS, from your website (China New DOS Union), and configured config.sys according to the instructions (as follows):

DEVICE=C:\DUSE\DUSE.EXE

After entering pure DOS (the one that comes with Windows98se), it still can never find the USB drive letter. It always pops up a window saying "failed to load usb storage device", but when I hot-unplug the USB drive, it then says "USB storage device removed " !

Please, experts, point me in the right direction!!!!!!

Use USBASPI. For details, please see the various DOS boot disks we made that support USB devices.

Has anyone ever gotten it to work successfully? What USB device are you using? Brand? Model? Thanks

Try this
DEVICE = USBASPI。SYS
DEVICE = DI1000DD。SYS
Maybe it will work better
