Programs under DOS might possibly be able to run under a 32-bit operating system,
but as far as I know, a 32-bit program can't possibly run in a 16-bit DOS environment, right? |

Actually DOS is not only 16-bit, there is also 32-bit DOS, but pure DOS doesn't have the WIN API, so it can't run.

What if it doesn't call the Win API?

That shouldn't be possible, right?
A Win32 program has to call the API when it starts and when it closes. |
