DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

My laptop (Toshiba 1200, shared floppy/CD drive) has a broken CD-ROM drive, and the system isn't installed either (it was formatted away). I bought a USB CD-ROM drive, but I don't know how to install the USB CD-ROM driver under DOS. Please, experts, help me out.

What brand is the USB CD-ROM drive~~ Try the USB CD-ROM drivers for DOS provided in the forum. . Or download a ready-made boot disk from this forum and give it a try.

It's an eke USB CD-ROM drive. It seems to support PC cards. I don't know how much a PC card cable costs. I've tried the forum drivers many times, but unfortunately I don't know the specific installation steps,
