This is a boot utility disk I made. I compressed it with RAR and put it here for everyone to download. New question! Can you modify io.sys so it can boot a hard disk with a logical lock! Just a suggestion! If you think it's unnecessary then forget it! Thanks!

Using PC-DOS's IBMBIO.COM can boot a hard disk with a logical lock.

minisheep, I noticed that you seem especially interested in logical locks, right? Just use a PC-DOS boot disk to boot.

Not especially! I just strive for perfection! If I make a boot disk and still have to include ibm's dos, what about my compatibility? It seems like changing 00 00 to 00 55! Right! Who can teach me! Thanks!

That's not a good method. After modifying it, the hard disk will no longer be recognized. If you boot with a PC-DOS boot disk, you can still see a hard disk that has been hit with a "logical lock". Compatibility is basically not a problem. Although it can't compare to MS-DOS 7.10, it's still better than MS-DOS 6.22.

Your boot disk, when run on Virtual PC (I virtualized MSDOS6.22) and after choosing to boot from floppy, hangs at HiRAM installed when the first or second of the three menus appears, no matter which option I choose in those two. I haven't tried it in a real PC environment yet.
