About a Maxtor 160G hard drive

Question 1:

If the BIOS on a SOLTEK SL-75KAV motherboard has already been upgraded to support 48-bit LBA, can Windows 98 then use space beyond 137G?

Question 2:

For partitioning, I definitely can't use the FDISK in 98, so I'm planning to use the partitioning program in the "MS-DOS 7.10 Super Boot Disk." But there are two partitioning programs on that boot disk, namely SPFDISK and Free FDISK,

which one is a bit easier to use?

In my boot disk I only included SPFDISK, and did not include Free FDISK... ...

I still keep Microsoft's fdisk now because sometimes using fdisk /mbr and fdisk /status is more convenient. Otherwise I would have thrown it out long ago; with SPFDISK alone it's enough.

^_^

You can also use spfdisk to rebuild the mbr, just run spfdisk/mbr and it's ok

It can check the capacity and drive letter of each partition.

I know that parameter too, but I'm used to fdisk /mbr, and I can't change all at once.

Somehow somewhere I've got to choose.
No matter if it is win or lose.
