My machine is a Lenovo Tianxi II, with a dual-system install, 98 and XP. Under 98 I've always used YAMAHA drivers. I checked Multimedia in Control Panel, and the preferred device is: AC-XG WAVE playback
Then in XP, the driver was installed automatically by the system, but when I checked it shows the manufacturer as INTER, and it's AC’97.
So now I don't even know what brand my sound card is, and I also don't know what brand my motherboard is. Where can I check that? I also checked the machine information in Optimization Master, but still couldn't tell.

You can check with Hwinfo, and it's quite accurate

Thanks, my sound card is: Inter 82801BA/BAM ICH2 - AC'97 Audio Controller
My motherboard is MSI 850 Pro
Can my sound card produce sound under DOS?
Also, why can't I find the overclocking option when I enter CMOS? Does that mean my CPU can't be overclocked?
