Floppy disks are generally in FAT12 format.

The flash disk capacity is 16M. I want to convert it from FAT12 to FAT16 format, and then maybe there will be a way to make it into a boot disk. I’ve tried many times; with its current FAT12 format, no matter what I do, I just can’t make it into a boot disk.

Sheesh, aren’t USB flash drives directly FAT to begin with? I’m not clear on whether they’re divided into FAT16 and FAT12.

I suggest not doing this kind of thing under DOS.

If you want to do it, I can offer a direction (I absolutely don’t know whether this method works, and I don’t know whether it might damage the drive)

Use partitioning software, DISKMAN, MAGIC PATION, etc. to forcibly write the USB flash drive as FAT16, and see whether it works.
REM 喜欢DOS,因为它的简单
REM 喜欢OS/2,因为它不再矫饰
REM 喜欢BASIC,因为它并不幼稚
REM 喜欢GNU,因为它杂乱无章

I also want to partition my USB flash drive, but I think the principle of a USB flash drive is different from that of a hard disk after all, so I don’t know whether the partitioning operation has anything to do with those differences…………
Still, I support someone else trying it first; if somebody tries it, then I’ll know too ^_^ (Brothers, don’t hit me—gentlemen use words, not fists.)
