DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

Question for all the experts: how do you write code under DOS to access peripherals through the IDE interface? For example: under DOS, how can you read information about a CD-ROM drive's speed?
There are very few books about IDE now. I'd like to ask all the experts where I can find materials on this?
