If it can, then it would be much more convenient when using a USB flash drive. Pull it out and plug it back in, then just run the .bat again, and it can be used again.

by the way: has it been settled which drivers should be used to drive a USB flash drive (Netac's)?

It can drive *.sys files,
but there's no hope for USB flash drive drivers!

Loading it in CONFIG.SYS is generally possible, but don't use the method of loading SYS from BAT to drive a USB flash drive, because those programs themselves have bugs.
