Brothers of the DOS Union, I have a question about the Chinese-language environment under DOS:
I used WBAT, Tianhui Chinese, and some automatic backup and restore stuff to build a Chinese menu interface for a recovery system on the hard drive, and it had always been working normally; but now I've discovered a BUG...
When this system is copied to a computer with a GF4 graphics card, or to one with an INTEL 845G or 845GL motherboard, after the WIN98 logo finishes loading the screen becomes garbled or turns into a vast white blur. It seems that key presses, entering the password and so on still work, but the interface can't be seen clearly.
Later I switched to PDOS for the Chinese environment, but the result was still the same. It didn't become a white blur like with Tianhui, but it still couldn't be seen clearly. If I remove the Chinese environment and use an English interface, then there's no problem.
Could it be that there really is no DOS Chinese environment compatible with new hardware?? Experts, please don't hesitate to enlighten me!!
