China DOS Union

I recently put together a new machine and want to try Linux. Red Hat has a pretty good reputation, so I want to give it a try.
But I don't know how to install it. I have an 80G hard drive, and I don't know how it should be partitioned. At the same time I want to install 98 and XP.
I'm thinking I should leave space for LINUX when partitioning first (currently one primary partition 20G, one extended partition 50G, logical drives D 20G, E 10G, F 10G, leaving 10G for Linux), then install 98, XP, and finally Red Hat. Is that right?

Also, when it gets to the step of detecting hard disk partitions and formatting during installation, does it need me to specify the starting position?
How should I do it?
Please give me some guidance, experts!

From the sound of it, this should be a fairly old version. Newer ones basically all use graphical partitioning tools, which are much easier.

As for partitioning, this is how I partitioned the 60G hard drive on my own laptop with SPFDISK:
Win98: 3G first primary partition
WinXP: 10G second primary partition
Win2003: 6G third primary partition
The rest is an extended partition, under which I further divided:
one work partition: FAT32 format 20G
one backup partition: FAT32 format 15G
one RedHat Linux Native primary partition 3G
one Redhat Linux Swap partition the remaining space
Note that when installing Redhat, you must remember not to install its boot record into the primary partition!!!! It absolutely must go into its boot partition, then use SPFDISK's boot function to do multi-boot!!!! Absolutely remember this!!! As for the installation order, if you're already familiar with SPFDISK, it doesn't matter at all This software itself has detailed instructions, so you can take a good look yourself.

Why can I only create one primary partition with fdisk?
How can I make 4 primary partitions?
Also, installing Red Hat 9 to a primary partition should be fine too, right?
Does spfdisk have a Chinese version? I've used the English one, but I'm not very good at using it ^_^!
Also, could someone help me get a Red Hat 9 installation disc? I really can't get one. If there are any friends in Xi'an, that would be even better.

You should be able to buy REDHAT9 discs in larger software shops. As for why FDISK can only create one primary partition, that's because of FDISK itself, or rather, Microsoft did it on purpose.

Spfdisk has a Traditional Chinese edition. It's on my homepage, and it's also on the Union FTP. Try looking for it.

The Union has the Simplified Chinese edition localized by wengier.

Using the WinNT/2K/XP boot menu can also achieve multi-boot with Linux. You don't necessarily have to use SPFDISK; that's much more troublesome.
