Today I used the format e: /q command and somehow formatted drive C, and drive C also changed from the original 1.5G into drive E's 500M. Really strange. Could it be that the partition table got messed up.

What do you mean, using the format e: /q command formatted drive c?
fdisk /mbr format c: /u Try n-hdddoc too Oh, right, were you formatting it under OLD-DOS? (DOS 7.0 or earlier) It got formatted as FAT 16/// |
