My HD has bad sectors. What tool is better for partitioning them out? Could you write the steps in more detail? I don't really understand this stuff!

Any software will do. You can use fdisk, diskgen, or diskman. diskman is in Chinese and very simple, no need to teach it, you'll know how at a glance.

But the bad sector is on drive C, around the 18MB area. Then what do I do with the primary partition? It can't be just 18MB, right?

Just use the lousy Wuyou boot disk (though it's lousy, I guess everyone has it on hand) and use Diskman or PQMAGIC
Partition it like this: C: 22MB D: x GB E: x GB .... Then change drive C to hidden format |

Use format c：/u and see whether the system can isolate the bad sectors.
