Things to Keep in Mind When Posting and Asking Questions

Before posting, everyone should take a good look at the posting requirements.
If you just want to chatter, then post in the chatter section!
Before posting, first think about which board it belongs in!!
Since different technical topics may overlap, you may run into cases where you don't know which board a post should go to.
Then just choose the board you think is closest and post it there, but don't post the same thing repeatedly!! Posting the same thread in every board will make people think you're just causing trouble!!
When you have a question, try using the search function first.
If you want to learn more, the first thing you need to learn is how to learn!!!
I've noticed that people aren't interested in threads like "The Wisdom of Asking Questions," "Posting Rules," and "Posting Requirements."
But those threads really do help improve the quality of your questions!
Learning how to ask questions is very important!!
Being able to raise a good question is not easy,
and being able to raise it in a good way, with a good description, is not easy either.
People who can ask good questions in a good way will earn others' respect!!
Just like people who can answer questions in a good way will also earn others' respect!!
Before asking, use the search function first. Maybe someone has asked this kind of question before, and maybe someone has already answered it.
Repeating a question that already has an answer is really irritating!!!!
When you're sure you want to ask, first choose a good title!
Urgent! Experts please come in! I have a question! Weird thing! Help! Please help me! Waiting online! Confused! Feeling miserable!
Titles like these simply cannot accurately express the problem you're having!
And on top of that, when I see titles like this I just want to delete them!!! Because people who write this kind of title give me basically one of these impressions:
1. Lazy! Unwilling to think for themselves!! Just waiting for others to hand them the answer...
2. Dumb! They don't know how to ask questions, and if you go to the trouble of clicking into their post, the question inside is usually one that can't really be solved (because the description is too simple, so you have no way of knowing what problem they actually ran into). And even if you do figure out what they're asking, and even if you know the answer, you can't explain it clearly in just a few words! Very often, after answering one question, it just leads to even more questions. I don't think anyone wants to be an elementary school teacher, right?
3. Bad attitude! Because he or she simply assumes that other people ought to give them the answer. When nobody gives them an answer, they become very dissatisfied! If you criticize them, they'll think you're just showing off as an expert, acting arrogant, thinking too highly of yourself, and being prejudiced against beginners, and then they'll turn around and argue with you about that instead. I don't think anyone wants to get involved in that kind of trouble.
By this point, I figure some people are probably already cursing me after reading this... But honestly, this is exactly how I really feel. If you just happen to be one of those people who habitually writes titles like this, and you think I'm not respecting you, then first give me a reason why I should respect you!!! I have always respected people who know how to ask questions. If you want me to respect you, then first learn how to ask questions!!
After choosing a good title, the content of the post is also very important!
Because of the title length limit, it's impossible to explain the problem clearly there. So you need to describe it in detail in the post itself.
As for how to explain it clearly, I've already said enough...

Recently it seems like all I've been writing are these boring kinds of topics.
It seems some people just don't know how to use the search function.
So I'll say it again here.
Your problem, your environment (including hardware and software environment, that is, what kind of machine specs you're using, what kind of operating system you're using, what kind of software you're using), your usage process (sometimes your operation steps are also very useful information... as far as solving your problem goes), and the guesses and attempts you have already made (describing these lets others know 1. that you are not lazy and that you have thought about the problem yourself. 2. how much you know about this area. That way people will be more willing to help you, and will know how to help you. If they don't know how much you actually understand, it's hard for them to know how to explain things in a way you will understand!! But guesses are not wild speculation, so don't make far-fetched guesses. That kind of baseless speculation will only make people think 1. you don't understand anything. 2. and you still like to pretend that you do.)
Basically, if you make these aspects clear when asking a question, the chance of getting help will increase greatly!! (Unless nobody understands the problem.) Remember: not every question is something other people understand! That way, if you see that nobody has answered your question, you'll feel a little better, hehe...
Let me emphasize one point again and again:
Spend some effort learning how to find answers and how to ask questions!!!
If you're not even willing to spend effort on that, then I doubt how much effort you're really willing to spend learning DOS (or anything else)!
We respect people who know how to ask questions!!!
