I want to compress VC4.99 into the EBD compressed directory on the boot disk. I'm using WINCAB, but I found that it can't compress folders into it either, which means it can only compress files. Do any of you experts have a better CAB compression tool to recommend?

First create an EBD directory on the hard disk, then extract EBD into the EBD directory on the hard disk, then copy VC4.99 into the EBD directory on the hard disk, and then use WINCAB to compress EBD. Note: the size of EBD.CAB must not exceed the remaining space on the boot disk.
If that still doesn't work, there's the CABMAN tool on the forum that you can try.

That's exactly how I did it, but after compressing, the 4 folders in VC were gone.

Who said wincab can't include folders? You can just drag the folder directly into it....

But the WINCAB 1.51 I'm using simply doesn't support drag-and-drop at all. Anyway, it's done now.
