How do I use this software? It would be best to explain with examples.

*EDIT2 is a very handy small tool for Chinese-localizing executable files under DOS, and when used together with CCED's line-drawing protection feature it works very *
*well for Chinese-localizing all kinds of files. *

Using edit2 is very simple. You can use EDIT2 /? to check the parameters.
Below is its output.
Usage : EDITER /S
Extract strings no shorter than the specified length (num)
or: EDITER/S
Extract strings equal to the specified length (num)
or: EDITER/R
Replace the modified strings back into the specified file
or: EDITER/S /A
/A means do not extract Chinese strings.

For example, to extract strings of no less than 4 bytes from PCTOOLS.EXE and save them into PCTOOLS.TXT, you can use
edit2 /s:4 pctools.exe pctools.txt
To write the Chinese-localized information in pctools.txt back into PCTOOLS.EXE, you can use
edit2 /r pctools.exe pctools.txt

Learn how to ask questions first.

Change your post title to something better.

In the future, posts with titles like this will probably have only these three fates:
1。Nobody pays any attention to them. (This is the best outcome.)
2。They get moved to the off-topic section.
3。They get deleted.
