Explanation:
Looking at the questions and replies from many friends in your thread, the focus is that for the various operations on this disk, you still require users to first use “DIR” to check and figure out the program name, and then type in the program name before they can start that program...... This involves a question of understanding and mastering DOS programs, and many friends with varying levels of DOS knowledge will inevitably run into one problem or another when using it (actually some of them are not problems at all). But with a graphical style of operation, this kind of problem does not exist. It is almost foolproof; like in the examples below, as long as you finish debugging it, no matter who uses it there will be no problem. Let me use a simple example to explain: Example 1, we are now going to format a floppy disk: ![]() Example 2, the contents on the floppy disk will be “chopped” away! Everybody understands that, right: ![]() Example 3, the program runs automatically; you only need “Y” and “N”: ![]() Example 4, here of course, according to your needs, pressing “Cancel” will return to the menu in Example 1: ![]() Sorry! Actually everyone ought to have their own personality and style; this is only my personal view. LK |

That menu was also made with WBAT, right?

Thanks for LK's suggestion!
I had thought about this issue too, but later I still made it look like win98, just so everyone could get used to using this DOS better! After all, this way it looks more like DOS, the goal of version 2.0 is to make a Chinese-localized win98 boot disk exactly the same as a win98 boot disk It can run completely the same as the boot disk that comes with win98! That is why I made it like this! In the end I still gave up using a graphical menu, isn't version 2.0 actually more like a Chinese-localized version of a win98 boot disk? Don't you think so! I only enhanced its functions while localizing it! Of course I will accept your suggestion and add a graphical interface in the next version, but for this version, let's not change it! I really don't know when I'll have time again! |

The following is a quote from 沈洁 at 2003-8-10 12:37:11: Made it look like Win98??? But Win98 uses a GUI for operation!!! |

The following is a quote from 沈洁 at 2003-8-10 12:37:11: It was stated very clearly above! What it resembles is the win98 boot disk, not win98, please don't misunderstand! |

I very much agree with this brother's suggestion. Of the people who use windos, 80% basically do not understand wondows at all, yet they use it very smoothly. Why? Because it has a graphical interface, a foolproof style of operation. Looking at many current boot disks, they all require the people using them to have a certain DOS foundation. To use it, people first have to figure out DOS; for newbies, especially those who don't know English at all, that's just too hard!! If it is made into a menu-style Chinese interface, it will be welcomed by even more people.

Green Hornet:
It would be best to include with version 2.0 a DOS boot explanation for the disk, on how to load the floppy disk's system programs. I don't really care about the graphical drawn interface. After all, it does waste a lot of precious space. A practical DOS is much more useful to beginners than a pretty interface. |

I wasn't willing to put the logo in either!
But isn't about 50 seconds of black screen rather scary too! Ordinary people would definitely think it had crashed! If you're not afraid, you can delete the logo.sys file and the logo will be removed! It can still be used! The extra space can then be used to put in software! |

Waste a lot of precious space? Who can point out which files in the file list below are those “graphical drawn interface” files that are wasting space?
